About Green-Wilson Hut
Tagert Hut is named in honor of Bill Tagert, one of the early skiers in the area. The original Tagert Hut was a dam tender's cabin built on approximately the same spot, and used by early skiers. It burned and was replaced with the existing structure. The Greene Wilson Hut was built in 1978 in memory of Lu Lynn Green Wilson. Both the Tagert and Green Wilson huts were fully renovated in 1999.
