About This Data
All draw data comes from official Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks (KDWP) nonresident deer draw statistics reports. These show permits authorized, permits issued by preference point level, and total applicants by choice ranking for each deer management unit.
Kansas uses a preference point system for nonresident deer permits. Applicants who are unsuccessful accumulate points that improve their chances in future draws. The data shows how many permits were issued at each preference point level.
Note: Kansas data currently covers nonresident draws only. Resident deer permits use a separate zone-based system. Mule deer stamps are limited to units 1, 2, 17, and 18 (western Kansas).
