About Valeriy Babanov

As a boy, in 1980, I fell in love with the mountains, their white peaks, the people living at the foot of these peaks, the silence that is characteristic of these places. Now I live in Chamonix, a small town at the foot of the Mt. Mont-Blanc, the highest peak of the Alps. Chamonix is rightfully considered as the World Mecca of Mountaineering and Alpine skiing. In 2002, I graduated from the French Mountain Guide school of ENSA in Chamonix and received a IFMGA guide diploma. Since then, I have devoted most of my time to this activity. I am very happy that I was able to turn my passion into work! I love this! I work as a mountain guide all around the Alps. I do rock climbing and mountaineering in summer and winter. I skiing, ice climbing and mixed climbing in winter. For many years now I have been organizing commercial trekkings and expeditions in Nepal, in the Himalayas, where we climb to peaks of 6000 meters and above.
