About Tom Schnabl
I was born in 1969. Ever since a teenager, everything for me was about skiing, climbing and mountaineering. Years later, I thought it was time to take my passion to the next level. After receiving a technical education in engineering, I became an IFGMA Mountain and Skiguide. I completed this certification in 2000. Working and living in St. Anton am Arlberg, in the very heart of Austria, is a privilege to me. In particular, because here is where my favorite off piste skiing resort in the Alps is. Also, traveling to other countries and corners of the world helped me enhance my experience as a guide. Over the years, I have climbed and skied in amazing places like the Alps, Norway, Turkey, Greece, Iceland, Argentina and Chile. During the summer, between June and September, you will find me at my favorite spot: beautiful Chamonix, in the French Alps. My guiding experience and expertise include classic mountaineering, rockclimbing, ice climbing, off piste skiing and skitouring. Contact me for more information on any of my trips. As a professional guide, my main goal will always be your safety; and my biggest reward, a big smile on the face of my guests after a perfect powder day in the mountains.
