Thank you so very much for the most wonderful week of walking the Alta Via 2. It was even better than I could have ever imagined. The walking was wonderful, scenery was magnificent, the Refugio’s and food superb. We all got on really well and all were of similar ability so perfect. The Refugio’s were all absolutely stunning, the food was amazing in all of them, the beds comfortable, showers good, hosts all very friendly. The Viel Del Pan refugio was on the most magnificent spot. Actually they all were so could not put any above another in order of preference. They were all unique and interesting in their own ways. The trip notes say this is a tough route but I think if you are fit and used to mountain walking then this is a perfect hike. It was not that technical or difficult and the walking day was usually done by 3 or 4 with a break for lunch …. so just perfect!! No blisters or sore legs suffered by anyone. The scenery was just so dramatic and majestic it has left me wanting more…please. Thank you so much once again for putting on such a fantastic walk for us. We all loved it.

The trip was great. The crew made an unforgettable trip even more unforgettable. Great food and amazing crew.

A fabulous ski and sail tripTom Wolfe coordinated a fabulous ski and sail trip to Svalbard. It was an amazing trip that took into consideration the goals and capabilities of each of the guests, while keeping safety top of mind. Tom is not only a professional guide, he’s a really nice guy too. I look forward to skiing with him (and the other guides) again in the future.

Svalbard was mind-bogglingWhen Tom asked me if I wanted to go to the Arctic and ski from a steel hulled yacht I said yes without thinking… Good call. Svalbard was mind-boggling. We always enjoy skiing with Tom, classic Canadian mountain guide, and Phil Wickens ,who was the expedition leader, was also fantastic and a wealth of knowledge! Save your pennies and sign up for 2020 – you won’t regret it…..

The experience of a lifetimeI went on two trips with Tom last winter: to Carlyle Lodge in the interior of BC and to Svalbard. The skiing and snow conditions at Carlyle were great and Svalbard was definitely the experience of a lifetime in terms of the terrain, scenery and wildlife. It totally exceeded my expectations. Tom has a knack for picking great destinations and putting together fun, well organized trips.

An incredible experienceMy family and I had the adventure of a lifetime. It was an incredible experience and Sawback did an excellent job. We would highly recommend the trip and Tom to everyone.
