About Skip Horner
Currently based in Montana, I have been guiding people to the most remote corners of the Earth for over three decades. Over that time, I've visited 100 different countries and guided trips in 62. I was the first mountain guide to take clients to all of the Seven Summits, culminating with Everest. I've also climbed dozens of mountains worldwide, including Kilimanjaro, Mount Vinson (Antarctica), Gunnbjornsfjeld (Arctic) and the most famous peaks in the Himalayas, where I've been taking people for 40 years. I'm also a whitewater rafting guide and have led first descents on some of the world's major rivers, including the Zambezi and the Yangtze. I've ran the Colorado River in Grand Canyon 38 times. I was on the cover of Paddler Magazine and was nominated among the best paddlers of the century. My adventures have been filmed by the BBC and ABC Sports. National Geographic calls me the "Uber Guide" for my wide variety of abilities and experience. I'm a certified alpine guide by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) and a Fellow Emeritus in the Explorers Club. Apart from taking my clients on amazing adventures, I'm a lecturer and inspirational speaker. I live with my wife Elizabeth in the mountains of Montana, from where we run our guiding company. I love helping clients achieve their wildest dreams and it will be my pleasure to take you on your next adventure!
