About Silvestro Franchini

I was born in the mountains and started skiing at 3 years old. I quickly became involved in racing and made the National Team but then, when I was 20, the mountains called me again. I left racing and started climbing. I became a ski instructor and an IFMGA Mountain Guide. As soon as I made some money, I started to travel and I now visit Patagonia, North Africa and the Indian Himalaya whenever I can. I always like to climb a new route in a different remote place. In 2018, I traversed the Andes Massif with my brother and climbed all peaks over 6500mt. I can't choose one discipline: crack climbing, mixed climbing, freeride skiing, snowshoeing, sport climbing...I love them all, it all depends on the season! My guiding company is one of the oldest guiding associations in the world. It has been operating since 1910. I'M READY FOR YOUR NEXT MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE!
