About Pette Halme

I was born in Helsinki, in Finland, about 50 years ago. But my first trip to the Alps was made with my parents already before the age of 10! I fell in love with the mountains then and have been spending all my winters in the mountains around the world since the 80's. I became UIAGM - mountain guide in 2003 and have lived in / around Verbier since, throughout the year. Of all the places I have skied, Japan has become one of my absolute favourites! Over the last 10 years of skiing in Japan ( 3-5 weeks per year) I have learnt to know the country's most popular ski resorts, as well as lots of secret powder stashes which even the local Japanese guides don't know of. Off-piste skiing, ski touring and rock climbing are my favourite sports and I love to guide and share my passion and knowledge with my guests! I look forward to an action and fun filled adventure with you!
