About Martin Pichler
I grew up in St. Jakob in in the Defereggen Valley in Austria. As the son of a miner, I was fasinated by mountains from an early age and learned to treat them with respect. During my youth, I spent every free hour mountaineering, climbing, ski touring and ice climbing. In 2010, I completed the state mountain and ski instructor training in Chamonix and have been working as a full time mountain guide since then.
