About Marko Stremfelj
I’m a mountain guide currently living in Kranj, a small city in Slovenia surrounded by mountains. I’ve been climbing for 45 years in the mountains of my country, but also in the Dolomites, Alps, Caucasus and Himalaya. I love being outside, although I worked as a full time computer professional for many years. Now I’ve retired and I work as mountain guide. However, I only guide a few tours a year, so that I always keep my passion for what I do. I like all kinds of sports: rock climbing, ice climbing and skiing. I try to be a complete mountaineer! For the last 20 years, I’ve been also doing long distance biking tours. One trip that I really enjoyed was biking from Kyrgyzstan to China and going back through passes over 4000 m. I enjoy taking clients to unique places where there are not so many people around, like the beautiful mountains close to the famous Mt Triglav (which is usually very crowded), among other wonderful places in Slovenia!
