Absolutely beautiful and perfect for intermediate hikers.
LOVED everything about hiking Thorsmork and would return to do it again in a heartbeat! Viking Women is definitely the way to go if you’re traveling from out of the country!!
Dorsmork is a stunning area. So much beauty around every corner. I found the hike slightly challenging at times, but nothing I couldn't do.
It was fun, demanding at times, but well worth the scenery. Sleeping arrangements were not the best… this needs updating.
The Landmannalaugar Trails were perfect for our group of 8. We enjoyed the cabins, camp and hot springs at the base lodge. The hikes took most of the day so we were back to enjoy dinner, the Mountain Mall fire pit, and the hot springs. All of the workers at the lodge/camp were friendly and helpful to us.
With as large a group as we had (15) it would have been better to have 2 guides, one at the front and one at the back. Since there was only one, another member of the group was assisting the hiker who was terrified to the point of not being able to move.
Saga guided us through beautiful Iceland. I was impressed by Iceland, but also impressed by Saga!Very engaging lady with many talents: from the active walk guide and cool driver to the relaxing meditation mentor, with beautiful storytelling about the history and culture of Iceland. Takk fyrir Saga!
My sister and I had an amazing time in Iceland! Saga was a wonderful, knowledgeable guide and shared great stories that brought the landscape and experiences to life. We were also shown great local spots for food and drinks. Would definitely recommend her to anyone traveling to Iceland. We can’t wait to get back!
I traveled to Iceland last year and Saga was our guide. She was the absolute best. We did the Golden Circle, the cave, the glacier, the hot tubs (a couple), and so much more. She’s an excellent guide as well as a great cook. She fixed us lamb stew and many other delicious meals. She is enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip and her.
This was billed as a beginner hiking trip. I found several times when I was too far out of my comfort zone. I am deathly afraid of heights on loose gravel.
