About Guillaume Mottet

My name is Guillaume. I am a certified Rock Climbing Instructor in the Calanques, offering guided tours from Marseille to Cassis and everywhere in Provence. I have been passionate about climbing since I was I child. I was initiated very early into climbing thanks to the mountain club of my hometown, Villemur sur Tarn, a small village in the south west of France. I had my first classes on the rock of Saint Antonin Noble Val, in the gorges of Aveyron. During a trip with friends, I discovered Marseille and especially its national park. The beauty of the landscapes, the sun, the sea, and the endless number of climbing routes totally seduced me! After a year already planned in Quebec, I decided to validate my university degree in computer science. I applied to the last year of Computer Master at the Faculty of Luminy and moved to Marseille. My passion for climbing became my profession a few years later, following a professional reconversion. More than 10 years later, I still live close to this beautiful area that is the Calanques and climbing in all its forms remains forever a passion.
