About Fernando Martinez

A am a lover of alpinism and climbing. In only 10 years I have traveled and climbed in many countries. I performed ascents in the Andes in Argentina, Peru and Bolivia. I also visited in my climbing travels countries as Spain, France, Italy, Scotland, Ireland, England and Ecuador. My goal is to spread the mountain culture from my point of view, always from an experience-loaded side. I want to spread knowledge, to present to you traveling as an internal escape and an adventure. I see the adventure itself as a mental state, where the true risk does not lay on the physical aspect but in crossing mental borders, overcoming personal limits, trying. This is where fear comes from. Maybe the biggest fear is the fear to fail. The one we feel when we think we are able to reach a goal, we know we can do it, but at the same time we are afraid of failing. This can be applied to a sports route, a needle, a large mountain or to life itself. I could say that fear is good, it makes you centered in your weaknesses, it makes you improve and concentrate in your objectives. Life is out there, let's go out and enjoy it!
