About Damien Ramlot
I have always been passionate about nature and discovering new places. My first hikes took me through the Alps, the Pyrenees and the landscapes of Corsica. I traveled the Highland trails in Scotland, Norway fjords and volcanic landscapes of Iceland. In the 2000s, I also moved towards mountaineering, that I practice as an amateur in the Belgian Alpine Club. In recent years, I have also been practicing ultra-trail running, an activity that allowed me to acquire some physical skills and gradually rethink my conception of hiking. Now, I'm moving towards a more "fast and light" concept: I take pleasure in linking up the kilometers and the height difference by traveling light in demanding environments. In 2015, I decided to become a sports instructor so I could share my passion. I graduated as a Sports Hiking Instructor at the ADEPS/ Belgian Alpine Club. I am currently pursuing my training in order to obtain the equivalent of Accompagnateur en Moyenne Montagne (AMM) (French diploma). In my professional life, I am also an Industrial Engineer and I work as a Prevention Consultant in a company. My values are: Have fun, discover, share, learn ... safe!
