Thank you so very much for the most wonderful week of walking the Alta Via 2. It was even better than I could have ever imagined. The walking was wonderful, scenery was magnificent, the Refugio’s and food superb. We all got on really well and all were of similar ability so perfect. The Refugio’s were all absolutely stunning, the food was amazing in all of them, the beds comfortable, showers good, hosts all very friendly. The Viel Del Pan refugio was on the most magnificent spot. Actually they all were so could not put any above another in order of preference. They were all unique and interesting in their own ways. The trip notes say this is a tough route but I think if you are fit and used to mountain walking then this is a perfect hike. It was not that technical or difficult and the walking day was usually done by 3 or 4 with a break for lunch …. so just perfect!! No blisters or sore legs suffered by anyone. The scenery was just so dramatic and majestic it has left me wanting more…please. Thank you so much once again for putting on such a fantastic walk for us. We all loved it.
GR20 was everything you would expect. Long days, challenging hikes with amazing views!
Cloud 9 planned everything for our group: Food, lodging, baggage transportation and excellent hiking plans. The food and service in the hotels was great and staffs were friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend Cloud 9 for anyone planning a trip.
What an incredible experience. Our guide was fantastic, teaching our kids so many things along the way. Highly recommend!
Everything I expected and more. The days were long and arduous, but the views and scenery were more than worth it! Not your walk in Central Park, but a lot of fun.
Great adventure, great people, and overall an experience worth the effort. The sights will remain in your memory for a lifetime. Go for it and enjoy every step.
great time we had on the Haute Route. Overall, it was very well organized and well planned out trip.
We did a lot of research on various treks in the France/Switzerland region, and the Haute Route Highlights is truly one of the best in terms of experiencing amazing scenery over very challenging terrain. Every time we reached the top of a climb, we were amazed at nature's wonder around us. This one isn't for the unfit or faint of heart since the terrain is steep and hilly every day.
This was such an awesome trek. Tough at times but I expected that and enjoyed it.
Well planned. Rigorous and demanding while so rewarding..
