About Ben Francis
I am a fully-qualified Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor and full member of AMI, as well as a Summer, Winter and International Mountain Leader, with over 25 years experience of working in the outdoor industry. I will be your guide or instructor. I fell in love with the mountains of the Lake District at first sight and I am happy to say the Lake District has now been my office and my home for more than 15 years. I can't imagine living anywhere else. I have walked up every mountain in England and Wales and am well into my Munro list. I have rock climbed widely across Europe and on three other continents. I love the snowy mountains and nice warm rock, and am a regular at the local climbing wall. I'm glad to say my family enjoy the mountains just as much. I hope that I can impart a little of my passion for the outdoors on my days with you. See you in the mountains!
