Ascent Descent is owned and operated by Jimmy Halvardsson, an IFGMA mountain guide. Jimmy Halvardsson started working as a ski and climbing guide in the Lofoten Islands. He founded Ascent Descent in 2005 and has been guiding in the Lyngen alps and Tromsø area for over 15 years. Jimmy's passion for climbing and skiing brought and keeps bringing him to many beautiful places such as Patagonia, Yosemite valley, Australia, Lyngen Alps, Chamonix and more. He also operates a super comfortable and charming lodge close to Tromsø and organizes ski touring weeks in the winter.
