About Anna Torretta

I'm an IFMGA-certified guide, a mountaineer, a writer, an architect, a mother and an ex-Ice World Cup athlete. I love to share my passion for the mountains with others, especially people with disabilities, children and women. Born in 1971, I received my Bachellor's degree in Architecture from the University of Torino in 1998. I lived in Innsbruck, in the Austrian Alps, from '98 to 2003 and then moved back to Courmayeur, in Italy, where I've been living since 2004. As an ice climber, I won the national Italian championship in 2007 and got in second in the 2006 World Cup (in fact, from 2001 to 2008, I always finished among the first 5 athletes).
