About Andreas Abegglen

I was born in Grindelwald in 1976, so the mountain has always been my home. I studied forestry after school, and it became my job for some time. In 1999, I succeeded ascending the North Face of Mt Eiger for the first time. Over time, I took clients in this adventure, one of the most technical climbs in the Alps, several times. I also went many times to America, to Yosemite, and of course to the Himalayas. Since 2002, I have been traveling around the world as a professional guide. My passion is the mountains and I want to share it with you. When you are in the mountains, it doesn't matter whether you are the fastest or the best, but if you can go back with a great experience.
