About Andrea Bormida

Hello! I'm Andrea, I'm a IFMGA Mountain Guide, born in the western Alps on 1981, and now based in Milan.   Founder of Guide Alpine Milano, I work together with my collegue Davide, Nicolò. If I'm not available to guide  you, one of them will take care of you.   Master Graduated in Civil Engineering and Mountain Guide, I’m proud father of 3.   With more than 25 years of experience, I’m an all round mountaineer, passionate about snow and verticality during all seasons: I have a predilection for ski trips and steep skiing on big alpine face, Mont Blanc range and long climbing in Dolomites.   My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents in the Alps, I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Devil's Tower (Wyoming), Indina Creek (Utah), Boulder (Colorado) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I had experience in Chilean Cordillera and Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador  (5897m and 6310m). I have skied many steep faces in the alps like Lyskamm NE face, Mont Blanc W face, M. Rosa Marinelli Couloir and other itineraries on the south face, Weisshorn NE face, Gran Paradiso east, north and south face, opening and repeating a lot of this type of lines.   I collaborate with specialized magazines in the sector (Skialper, Planetmountain) and I am a consultant for  Climbing Technology and Faction ski.   With my Alpine Guide group we are guiding our clients all around the Alps and in the World: skiing, ice climbing, high mountains mountaineering, and rock climbing. We offer a unique, customized experience on each alpine terrain.   I usually organize ski trip in Norway, Greece and on Chile Volcanoes   If you are asking why you should plan a day in the mountains..."
