About Alexandre Schaubes

I am a French mountain guide based in the Hautes-Pyrénées, in the heart of the Aure Valley, at the doorstep of the Néouvielle Nature Reserve, an exceptional area for all kinds of mountain activities. I offer a wide range of services: full-day or half-day hikes, multi-day trekking itineraries, snowshoe outings, orienteering courses, as well as fun workshops such as igloo building. With extensive international experience, I spent five consecutive years traveling in Norway: in the Jotunheimen massif, on the island of Senja, in the Lyngen Alps, and the Tromsø region. These experiences allowed me to gain solid knowledge of Nordic terrains and to guide groups there safely. I have also conducted explorations in the Moroccan High Atlas, meeting local Berber communities. I developed several trekking routes there and work in partnership with trusted muleteers, enabling the organization of authentic and well-structured stays. For several years, I have also devoted three months each year to guiding the Tour du Mont-Blanc (TMB), working with English-speaking and Chinese clients. This experience has given me a thorough knowledge of the Chamonix area and its surroundings, as well as the specific needs of an international clientele. Always seeking new professional collaborations, I now wish to expand my network of partners, activity offices, travel agencies, or outdoor organizations, to jointly offer high-quality experiences focused on discovery, sharing, and a passion for the mountains.
